[DRAFT] Recording Your Therapy Sessions with Mentalyc
Recording Your Therapy Sessions with Mentalyc
Mentalyc offers several ways to record your therapy sessions, depending on how you're connecting with your therapist:
Recording In-Person Sessions:
- Using Mentalyc's built-in recorder: This option allows you to record in-person sessions directly within the Mentalyc app on your phone, tablet, or computer. [Link to article on in-person recording with Mentalyc]
Recording Online Sessions:
- Recording Telehealth Sessions: If your therapy session takes place in a web browser (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Google Meets), you can use Mentalyc's recorder to capture the audio. [Link to article on recording telehealth sessions with Mentalyc]
Recording Phone Sessions:
- Android and iPhone: If your therapy session takes place via a phone call on your mobile device (Android or iPhone), you can use your device's built-in call recording features or a third-party recording app to capture the audio. We have specific instructions for setting up call recording on both Android and iPhone devices using third-party apps.
Note: Please be aware that local laws and regulations around recording phone calls may vary. It's important to check with the guidelines in your area before recording a phone session.
Additional Tips:
- Headphones/Earphones: Regardless of the recording method, using headphones or earphones will improve audio quality for both you and your therapist.
External Recording Tools:
- Using a separate recording app: If your therapy session occurs through a downloadable app (e.g., Zoom desktop app) rather than a web browser, Mentalyc can't directly record it. In this case, you'll need to use a separate recording app on your device. How to create audio recordings using Zoom (for Online Sessions)
